Golf courses: Rosapenna, Carrigart, Portsalon, Dunfanaghy, Letterkenny are all nearby 18 holes golf courses and there is also the local Otway 9 hole course in Rathmullan.

Portsalon Golf Club is a members owned club and visitors are very welcome; individual golfers, groups and societies are regularly welcomed to this traditional golf links of championship length set in the dramatic and wonderfully scenic Donegal coast.

Otway Golf Course in Rathmullan is one of the oldest courses in Ireland. Otway is set in spectaular scenery on the Knockalla Coast Road.

Horse Riding

Golden Sands Equestrian Centre, Rathmullan, caters for all ages of horseriders, both experienced and inexperienced. Pony Trekking can be enjoyed along forest tracks, unspoilt beaches and quiet country roads in the magnificent scenery of the Rathmullan area. All ride outs are accompanied by an experienced guide.

Fishing

There is fishing for salmon and trout at Lough Fern whilst Lough Nacally, only a short distance away yields a generous supply of fresh fish. Charter trips for sea angling are available locally.

Hill-walking

Glenalla Lodge lies in the middle of hills offering long stretches of uninterrupted unspoilt walking areas with magnificent views. Nearby Croaghan Hill (1,008 feet) and Crockanaffrin (1,137 feet) have excellent terrain for walker, further north lie the Knockalla Mountains and not much further south the Derryveagh Mountains provide great scope for hikers.

Clay Pigeon Shooting

Mulroy Clay Pigeon Club is a well-equipped centre with professional tuition of a high standard is given to the experienced and the inexperienced alike.
